Hexi series is a concept that is currently being developed for Uni Cal. The work moves away from university related themes focusing on clean, bright & bold patterns. This concept maybe integrated with photographic elements as an alternative concept.

This is a series of photographs taken around Coventry University campus. The photographs have been edited using photoshop cs2. Using a previous concept incorporating a kaleidoscope effect, Emma has included both the kaleidoscope effect along with a photographic boarder.  

Uni Cal Questionnaires [Market Research] - Results

Uni Cal Questionnaire Results

Uni Cal have received approximatley 28 questionnaires back regarding the market research. Several questionnaire's were posted out to students studying at Coventry University. Having gathered most of the questionnaires the results suggest that the students found the collage work to be the most effective in general.

When asked would they be willing to pay £2.00, 90% of the students relied yes. When asked what visual imagery would they prefer most of the students suggested that they would like to see a photographic based calender. 

One of the questions asked was would student like to see a university related calender or other themes included from outside university. Many of the students suggested that they would like to see a university themed calender.  

Three designs that have already been developed for the university calendar were shown to the students. Most of the students choose the collage design. The research suggests that students would prefer the photographic collage work taken around campus, as this is the most popular design, more development work based on the work chosen by the students will be created centered around these results.

Below is a copy of the questionnaire that was created in order to research students thoughts on current designs that Uni Cal have produced. Along with the questionnaire's students were asked to select the most effective design out of three concepts. An example of three designs were also included with the questionnaire.

Uni Cal is an academic wall calendar that is currently being designed and researched for next year and is due to be released in Sept/Oct 2008. Uni Cal will include all the important timetabled events on & off campus. The calendar will also include useful phone numbers such as faculty and student service numbers. We would like to ask you a couple of questions in relation to design and visual imagery of the calendar.  We are creating Uni Cal for the students of Coventry University.
